Yes. Split Circle is free with no daily limits, no ads, and no expiry. The free plan includes every core splitting feature. Pro adds OCR receipt scanning and advanced analytics starting at $0.99/month.
Do group members need to create an account?
No. Friends you invite can view balances and settle up without creating an account. They get a shared link and that is all they need.
Can I import my Splitwise data?
You can export your Splitwise data as a CSV and use it as a reference when setting up your groups in Split Circle. Direct import is something we are looking at for a future release.
How is Split Circle different from Splitwise?
Three key differences: Split Circle has no daily expense limit (Splitwise caps free users at 3-5/day), no ads, and group members do not need to create an account to view balances and settle up.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Split Circle is built offline-first. Add expenses at altitude, on flights, or anywhere the signal drops. Everything syncs automatically when you reconnect.
What if I hit a limit?
There are none. Add as many expenses as your group needs, every day, for free.
Does it work for international trips and different currencies?
